 A list of Life Groups offered at New Life is provided below. What is a Life Group? A Life Group can be almost anything that brings people together in meaningful relationships for the common purpose of growing in Christ.Some Life Groups gather to study the Bible or a particular topic of interest such as how to manage their money. Some groups gather to serve in a particular way such as the worship teams or Sunday School teachers. Others meet just to get to know one another and to pray for each other. Others gather to share a common interest or activity such as scrap booking, motor cycling, or playing softball. All of our Life Groups share the same vision: We want to provide a place where everyone can belong and develop vital relationships within the body of Christ, to love and be love and to serve and be served and to fulfill the call of God both to be disciples and make disciples of Christ. WHY join a Life Group? At New Life AG, we believe that life-change happens in biblically functioning communities; Life Groups exist to inspire growth to maturity in Jesus Christ. Life Groups also provide a great way to get involved and to connect with other believers. Hebrews 10:24-25 "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching."WHAT happens at Life Group meeting? Every Life Group has its own personality but some common elements happen in most group meetings. Groups typically spend some time building relationships and getting to know each other and study together. Some groups focus strictly on the Bible while others rotate through Biblical and topical studies. Studies are chosen by the group and approved by the leadership. A typical group meeting lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Acts 2:42-47 "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles." HOW is a Life Group ministry different from other Bible Studies? Life Groups are more than studying the Bible or topical subjects together. When you commit to a Life Group, you commit to the study but also to care for and meet the needs of other group members. The real difference between a Life Group and a Bible study happens outside of group time. Life Group members will become your closest friends and people you will turn to in time of need. Galatians 6:2 "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." 1 Thessalonians 5:11 "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."
